Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil was an Indian revolutionary who struggled vigorously against oppressive British Rule in India. In addition to being a freedom fighter, he was a patriotic poet who wrote in Hindi and Urdu. He was associated with Arya Samaj and was deeply inspired by Rishi Dayananda's Satyarth Prakash, the Light of Truth.
